Q & A- Can I take a tour of the building?
- The building is under construction and is not open for tours. We are currently making a 3D movie of the building. We plan to release it on this website as soon as it is completed. Please wait for a while until it is available.
- Do you have a curfew?
- The curfew is at 8:00 p.m. However, it may be extended to 10:00 p.m. if the application is approved.
- May I bring my own bicycle to the dormitory?
- We have a parking space for one bicycle for each resident.
- What is the meal like?
- A full-time nutritionist designs the recipes, which are made by hand daily by the person in charge of cooking. You don't need to worry about irregular eating habits.
- When can I eat meals?
- Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 8:00 a.m. (6:30 to 8:30 a.m. on weekends and holidays only), and dinner is served from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Please arrive at the cafeteria well in advance.
- Are there days when no meals are provided?
- Meal services are not available on the following days: August 6–15, December 27–January 5, and March 27–31.
- Are there days when residents are not allowed to stay?
- Residents are not allowed to stay during Year end and New Year’s close days, December 30th to January 3rd.
Questions before moving in
- What are the facilities in the private room like?
- Each private room is equipped with a wooden-framed bed, desk, chair, closet, air conditioner, lights, curtain, and 2-door refrigerator.
*You need to prepare your own bedding set. Please consider our bedding rental service. - Do I need to register for the Internet service?
- There is no need to register for internet service. You can use our Wi-Fi system starting on your move-in day.
Questions on the facilities
- What is the “Entrance fee”
- In the case of general rentals (apartments and condominiums), it is equivalent to key money. If you move out before the end of your lease, the entrance fee you paid will not be refunded.
- What is the security deposit?
- The deposit acts as a security deposit for general leases (apartments and condominiums) and will be refunded after the contract expires, minus cleaning fees and other costs. If the contract is terminated before its expiration date, a penalty fee equivalent to the deposit amount will be charged.
- What are your electricity rates?
- A monthly "basic fee plus usage fee" is charged.
- What is the Internet fee like?
- There is a fixed monthly fee of 1,600 yen (tax excluded).
- What are the gas and water charges?
- There are no gas or water charges.
- How do I pay the monthly dormitory fee?
- When you sign the contract, you will register your bank account, and your monthly rent will be automatically deducted from your account. Dormitory and meal fees are deducted on the 27th of the previous month, and other expenses are deducted on the 27th of the following month.
- What is included in the dormitory fees?
- The fee includes the use of the dormitory room, furniture and fixtures in the dormitory room, common service fee, shared facilities, and shared rental equipment (vacuum cleaner and iron).
*An additional fee is required when using some shared facilities (copy machine, clothes dryer, vending machine). - What is included in the meal fee?
- Breakfast and dinner fees are included.
- What is included in the internet fees?
- The fee for using the Internet (Wi-Fi) in the dormitory room and the Internet (Wi-Fi) in the common facilities are included.
Questions on fees
- Is it possible to send luggages before move-in?
- It is NOT allowed. Your luggage arrival date must be after the move-in date.
- What do you recommend items to bring in for daily life?
- Be sure to bring the school items, clothes, and toiletries. The dormitory comes fully furnished with appliances, but not bedding, so you will need to bring your own. Rentals are also available for an additional fee.
- Do you allow parents to come help with moving in?
- Parents can visit the dormitory, but are not allowed to stay overnight.
- Where can I get the room key?
- The House master will hand in the room key to each resident at the dormitory.
